#ISC2CONGRESS – Why you won’t want to miss it!

This year’s (ISC)² Security Congress offers a hybrid experience for both those joining in-person at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV and virtual attendees logging in from home or their office. All attendees can expect exciting keynote speakers and more than 100 empowering breakout sessions. 

Our survey from last year’s virtual event showed that 90% of attendees would recommend (ISC)² Security Congress to their colleagues and friends. The top reason – 92% – was the CPE credit opportunities. You can earn more than 20 CPE credits on-site and continue your education online after the event by viewing recorded sessions. “All of the speakers were great. I walked away with insights that I hadn't heard before,” past Security Congress attendee. For CISSPs, you need 120 CPE credits over your three-year certification cycle. We recommend 40 per year to stay on track, and with in-person attendance, you’ll be halfway there in just a few days.  

The second most common reason for attending, 87% say, is to stay current on the profession and industry. Marco Túlio, CISSP is looking forward to his first in-person Security Congress experience. He shared that he is thrilled and honored to be a speaker this year representing Belém of Amazonia, Brazil. “My presentation will discuss how we, as security pros, can be more strategic in leading security programs by considering the organizational culture as a crucial component of the plan. I'm gathering some lessons from 10-plus years of experience getting beaten and sometimes knocked out (but always keeping up) during security program implementations,” he said. He is also looking forward to keynote Ian Bremmer’s thoughts on cybersecurity and watching many strategic sessions on board and risk management.
