We all known that a few weeks ago, American Telecom Giant T-Mobile experienced a cyber attack in which data related to over 54.6m individuals was exposed to hackers and that includes information such as addresses, names, DoBs, phone numbers, social security numbers, driving license details, IMEI numbers, IMSI numbers and some credit card info related to customers paying their T-Mobile bill online.

Now, an Attorney General named Maura Healey from Massachusetts has announced a probe on the incident and ordered for a detailed report on how well the Cybersecurity measures were being implanted by T-Mobile for data protection of its valued customers.

So, the detailed probe will dig out the facts on how the data breach occurred, whether T-Mobile IT staff failed to take measures to secure their data, how it affected the customers and the how the company is intending to protect its consumers who lost their credit card information to hackers in the attack to prevent identity theft and other types of frauds in the future.

Note 1- In August second week, T-Mobile issued a public statement admitting that its servers were cyber attacked by an unidentified individual and so its customer information could have fallen into the hands of hackers.
