China is reportedly mining data from users of Facebook and Twitter and the plan is to feed its military with all useful information sieved from the tonnes of data using different AI based machine learning tools.
Currently, the focus is majorly on America and UK and will slowly be shifted to Indian users if all goes well as per their plan.
These astonishing facts were released by the Washington Post that even added in its report that a special military sized cyber army was dedicated to this sophisticated data surveillance program that started in early 2020.
Cybersecurity Insiders have learnt that the Chinese intelligence devised a new software that can undermine any posts or tweets that were created against Chinese government or its political anatomy.
Washington Post revealed in its publishing that the $320,000 media software has potential to summarize the posts published on renowned business owners, politicians, journalists and academics Facebook pages or twitter handles operating globally.
Normally, such software are used by civilians for advertisement or market purposes. But the Xi Jinping government is using the tools to know details about anti- china content that is being published on various social networking platforms- all in the name of protecting national integrity in the whole of Republic of China.
Note 1- In the year 2019, the Jinping led government started a surveillance program that was to track down the whereabouts, daily habits, online activities of populace from Xinjiang.
Note 2- It is still unclear whether Facebook, Twitter and YouTube parent Google are aware of what China was doing regarding their user data. But there is a trade rule prevailing in China that all companies interested in delivering products and services on its soil must and should store data and abide by the rules prevailing on Chinese soil.
