Samsung releases Galaxy S20 TE for US Military

Samsung Electronics, a pioneer in offering innovative electronic products, has unveiled a smart phone that is being targeted only at military grade applications. The device was launched in May this year, but is now available to be used by the US Government and Department of Defense from last week.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Tactical Edition is the end-user device tucked with Utmost mobile security features targeted towards mission-critical applications, training and day-to-day surveillance operations.

The device supports tactical radios, drone feeds, laser range finders, external GPS and military applications. Galaxy S20 also has a night vision mode and a stealth mode to conduct classified communication with the NSA for OFF Grid Communication purposes.

Samsung claims that the S20 has been built on Samsung Knox platform that offers military grade protection to hardware through various software layers. The DualDar architecture also secures the device with 2 layers of encryption, even when the device is powered off or unauthenticated.

Although Galaxy S20 is a hand-held device, it can be connected to a physical monitor for planning purposes such as supporting drone feeds and laser range finders.

Loaded with an Android 10 OS and all security technical implementation guide certified by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
