Oracle to block human error propelled data breaches with two innovative Cloud Security tools

Oracle Corporation has made it official yesterday that its two newly designed and sophisticated cloud security tools that are developed to block data breaches caused by human errors will be made commercially available in all Oracle regions from this month end.

Dubbed as Oracle Cloud Guard and Maximum Security Zones, the 2 security management tools will be in ally with the firm’s aim of automating all its cloud infrastructure services in coming days.

Going forward into the details, Oracle Cloud Guard will be a security tool that will be integrated into the Oracle Management Services dashboard that will also oversee other services such as networking, storage, cluster management, configurations. And as soon as the threats are detected, an alert will be passed on through the Oracle Software as a service feature that will help in remediating cyber threats on an automated note.

Coming to Maximum Security Zones, it’s a service that targets security of the user data through some pre-determined security policies that can never be changed for any reason. This is to ensure that organizations can protect themselves against security breaches caused due to human ejected configuration blunders.

Oracle says that the newly developed tools will be available across all its platforms such as Object Storage, Networking, Encryption, DBaaS and File Storage.

NOTE- In a recently released Cloud Security report of Gartner, the research highlighted the fact that an increased use of public cloud by enterprises is causing certain blind spots that have resulted in the contribution of over 200 data breaches over the past two years, and resulting in the leak of over 30 billion records. Gartner says that many of these data breaches can be avoided, if customer configuration blunders can be rectified in time.
