On Wednesday, Google made an official announcement on the data collection it does and is as follows-

For 3rd party developers and advertising the internet juggernaut collects the following details- Location, Coarse location, contact info, physical address, email address, name, phone numbers, internet access service provider, search history, browser history, User ID, device ID, Product search if any. It then uses this data for analytics and then indulges into advertising campaigns.

Information Google collects as you use its services- Videos a user is watching, searched keywords related content, ads that are viewed, location, websites a user visits.

Data that is created by the user while using Google services and products such as android based phones- Name, birthday and gender of the user, passwords, phone numbers, email address, photos and videos that are saved on phone, comments that are made on YouTube, contacts that are added on phone and synced with email, calendar events, spelling corrections that are committed commonly by users, GPS details and vehicle movement to improve Maps service.

Note- If you wish to block everything, then it can hinder the ability of the search giant to show more content or products.
