Joe Biden government opens over 500,000 jobs in Cybersecurity

According to research carried out by Cyber Seek that is into the business of job tracking, United States is reported to have more than 500,000 job openings in the field of Cybersecurity in the coming days.

So, all those who are interested in making a career in the related field can start earning the relevant certifications in skills that might force private and public businesses to hire you.

The interesting part is that most of the job openings will be in Florida, Texas, Virginia, and California and so anyone looking to switch their careers can focus on bagging jobs from companies operating in the said states.

And with Joe Biden taking Cybersecurity seriously after the ransomware attack on Colonial Pipeline where the hackers were paid $4.4 million, the white house is thinking strategically to pump in an investment of over $4 billion that will help in bolstering the critical infrastructure of the United States such as power grids, water utilities, and healthcare.

“You don’t need to be a graduate from MIT. But only need to have proper training, certification and commitment to handle any kind of situation with ease”, said Tim Herbert, the Executive Vice President of CompTIA that offered technical and field assistance to Cyber Seek to complete the survey related to jobs in US Cybersecurity field.

“Getting a network/security certification in a matter of just 8 weeks can earn you an entry-level job as a pentester. So, no need to invest your valuable time for years just to get rid of a freshers tag”, says Michelle Moore, a Cybersecurity trainer at the University of San Diego.

Although it seems easy, people are not able to fill those gaps with ease due to skills shortage and that is the need of the hour not only in North America but in other parts of the world as well added Moore.

Awareness also plays a vital role s most of the young breed are just interested in picking jobs related to software, artificial intelligence, robotics, and data science and only a small percentage is interested in selecting the field of security said Stacey Barrymore, a security research student working on a security assignment for PacketLabs, Australia.

So, all you freshly graduated minds ready to leap into the world of Cybersecurity…..?
