Google seems to have taken a pledge to safeguard the security and digital transformation of governments, critical infrastructure managing companies and enterprises-large and small by creating a new cybersecurity advisory team.

Dubbed as Google Cybersecurity Action Team, the aim of such a team is to play an active role in offering advisory, support related to trust and compliance, draft solutions that are related to security of customer and engineering and start threat intelligence against cyber incidents.

“We will help all our customers in defending against the latest threats lurking in the cyber landscape”, said Phil Venables, the VP and CISO of Google Cloud and the founder of the Google Cybersecurity Action Team.

Google Cybersecurity Advisory team will also offer preparedness drills, incident response, threat briefings to those interested and will engage in rapid threat management.

Alphabet Inc’s subsidiary has also taken an initiative to stop the spread of ransomware by gathering intelligence related to incidents and sending alert to companies on how to secure their IT infrastructure against the newly identified file encrypting malware threats.

As more companies are becoming victims of cyber attacks, launched by state funded actors and threat actors, Google has led list of technology companies with a dedicated security advisory team.

In coming months, the web search giant is interested in initiating an automated retaliation filled response to attacks that target its cloud platform.

Meaning, the company will start punishing the cyber crooks who try to disrupt its cloud infrastructure operations with digital attacks such as DDoS, Malware and Phishing.
