Google to take serious action against SEO Poisoning

From now on, those who are indulging in SEO Poisoning tactics will not be spared, says Google.

SEO Poisoning is nothing but a procedure where hackers or the threat actors try their best in jacking up the rankings of malicious WebPages on search engines by inducing keywords.

Here, the ploy is to lure web traffic through keywords and then target their systems or devices with crypto jacking, DDoS Attacks, Ransomware, Backdoors, SQL Injections, Phishing and malware.

So, the business subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. has decided to take strict actions against the website owners who indulge in such malevolent practices.

Highly placed sources reporting to Cybersecurity Insiders state that the web search giant has decided to weed out such websites that are ranking well on search engines through a specially planned algorithm that can distinguish between keyword targeted content or a normal content that has keywords injected into the flow.

As the entire process is automated, the content can be quickly reviewed and then placed onto the spam server where the owner of the website will be asked for explanation.

The tech giant is also thinking of adding human intelligence to the process by asking selective visitors to judge the website as malicious or threat-free. And as the process takes place randomly, there is no question of people being detrimental to this subjective approach.

Note- Often most of such fake malicious websites are those impersonating reputed businesses, shopping portals, job search URLs, travel websites, gaming firms and fake health and medicine advisory WebPages related to COVID-19 Delta and the latest omicron variants.
