Cyber Attack on Australia Ventia

Ventia, an essential service provider to critical infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand was forced to pull down some of its servers that were under the influence of a sophisticated digital attack.

Cyber security experts were hired to probed down the cyber intrusion to the core and regulatory office was also informed about the incident.

In an official statement, Ventia acknowledged that it was experiencing a disruption for sure, but assured that the operations will be brought back to normalcy by the end of next week.

For the past few months, the IT infrastructure of Australian businesses are coming under constant cyber-attacks. Some were launched by Pro-Russian hacking groups, while others seem to have launched from nations like China and North Korea.

The Albanese government issued a warning in March this year, that all firms operating in the nation must introspect their cyber security posture as adversary nations were seeking a chance to disrupt the operations to bring a kind of economic and political instability.

Russia sits at the top of the adversary nations list as Anthony Albanese is supporting Ukraine in its war with Kremlin by supplying arms and ammunition along with essentials.

However, this is not going to go-long as the war seems to be a never-ending saga and nations like US are facing a strict backlash from the Republicans who are now opposing the supply of munition and fund support to Kyiv as it will not only increase the war misery, but will also plunge the highly acclaimed western economy into debts.
