AI implants in Brain could be vulnerable to hackers

As Tesla Chief Elon Musk has invested a lot in startup project Neuralink that links human brains to computer machines using tiny implants, security researchers say that such technologies can be easily hacked to erase thoughts, skills, and memory of a human-when left unsecured.

In simple terms, every technology needs to be pioneered in such a way that no person can hack or change the functionalities. So, using similar protocols that are found in smart phones and other antivirus softwares makes sense in such scenarios.

Musk who have invested heavily in Neuralink since 2016 will offer a new tech to humankind, probably by 2021 that could connect PCs with human brains and vice versa–not to allow human minds outpaced by Artificial Intelligence(AI) devices.

Tesla company billionaire feels that the new tech has the potential to help humans get rid of injuries, depression and other ailments that otherwise plague a human body with age, work, and time.

Jo Best, a freelance journalist working for CNET feels that the new technology can prove as a horror to humankind as it allows cyber crooks to hack into a brain and erase memories or turn the thoughts against their peers or own selves like in the movie Universal Soldiers.

Dr. Sasitharan Balasubramaniam, the research director at the Waterford Institute of Technology’s Telecommunication Software and Systems Group, says that the tech in which Tesla is investment could ruin the thinking of a brain and could prove as a disaster to mankind. Who knows, it could also bring the doomsday…?

Note- Every technology has its own pros and cons and the consequences of tech use solely depends on the brain that is using it.
