Ireland based professional services company Accenture has recently acquired a UK based Context Information Security company to boost its Cybersecurity platform Accenture Security on a global note. The objective of the deal is to accelerate the growth of its existing portfolio of Cyber Defense offerings.
“The acquisition deal is an excellent match for us as it combines extremely skilled professionals to provide varied services to clients across the UK and the world”, said Kelly Bissell, a Senior Management Director, Accenture.
Context Information Security is a cyber defense company founded in 1998 and has offices in Germany, the United States and Australia offering services related to the intelligence-driven red team, vulnerability research, incident response, and high-end cybersecurity. It has a high profile clientele base which includes several government organizations, and financial institutes who seek professional help in defending their IT infrastructure from advanced cyber attacks.
Note- In October last year, Accenture announced that it is going to improve its stand in the business of Cybersecurity by 2022 and to reach its vision has agreed to acquire Symantec’s Cybersecurity from Broadcom by March 2020- subject to traditional conditions. Symantec portfolio includes Global Threat Monitoring and analysis of network security operations and real-time adversary and industry-specific threat intelligence and incident response services.
