At the Google Cloud Next Conference in London, Diane Greene, the Chief Executive of Google Cloud declared that her company commits to building security into every layer of the cloud.
Ms. Greene also clarified on the Conference stage that her company takes security seriously and so has built it into every layer of the system. The words came just after reports emerged that Chinese spies have planted espionage tech into the company servers and hardware which were imported from the said soil to western countries.
Furthermore, Ms. Greene declared that the business clients of Google Cloud Platform(GCP)will from now enjoy location restriction policies and other new tools which will allow system admins to control who can create new resources on the cloud platform and who can access them.
“With the new location restriction policy, users can limit where GCP resources can be created and accessed from a pre-defined geographical location. For example, users can restrict resource generation and GCP access to countries like Germany, Italy, France in the scenario of Brexit”, said Reena Nadkarni, the product manager of G-Suite.
Currently, Google ranks third in the public cloud rankings list. As the Google Cloud’s team of engineers consist those with 10+ years experience tenure the latest gesture seems that its C- level employees are trying hard to push the company to the number one spot by 2020.
