CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company honors women with proven IT channel expertise and vision by selecting them for its prestigious Women of the Channel list. The leaders selected for the annual list are from all areas of the IT channel ecosystem; representing technology suppliers, distributors, solution providers, and other IT organizations. Each is recognized for her contributions to channel advocacy, channel growth and visionary leadership.
The women CRN editors choose for the list are chosen from a multitude of channel leadership applicants. The final honorees are selected based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise, and ongoing dedication to the IT channel.
Thales’s would like to send a warm congratulations to Abi Aminu, Margaret Chum, Tia Garaas, Ariane Seiferth, and Eleanor Winship, who are now part of Thales, but have been included in CRN’s 2019 Women of the Channel list for their work at Gemalto, now a Thales company. Read the details below to find out why our five power women were included:
Abi Aminu is currently a Channel Programs Manager for the Americas, running the Channel Programs and Strategy for Gemalto in North and Latin America. She’s worked in this position for twelve months and has successfully launched new programs that align with the ever-changing market conditions, while reinventing Gemalto’s partner programs to promote incremental growth, partner loyalty, and create profitable business for both Gemalto and its channel community.
Margaret Chum is a Senior Channel Program Manager at Gemalto and is responsible for managing and developing Channel Programs and Strategy globally, and delivering the framework on the regional level. She works closely with different regional program managers and sales leadership to ensure the program structure works in harmony as a Worldwide Program. To ensure the channel program and strategy work successfully in the partner ecosystem, she works closely with different teams to cover and deliver all channel related matters.
Tia Marie Garaas has been working as the Channel Program Communications Manager on the Gemalto Cipher Partner Program team since September 2017. She believes it’s vitally important for a business to not only know their audience and create the right content, but to be able to reach them in the right places. Tia enjoys ensuring the channel program does this because she knows the technology they offer has a far reaching effect, and she loves to know that she’s helping people in some way.
Ariane Seiferth holds the position of Director of Strategic Accounts and Distribution and is responsible for executing the channel sales strategy through Gemalto’s distribution and reseller partner community in North America. Her role gives her the opportunity to build and lead the Channel sales team to increase Gemalto’s overall channel footprint. Ariane has had a focus on strategic accounts and key regional partners to increase overall sales performance and drive incremental growth. She believe in the Gemalto Channel Sales team and is very proud to lead the team to achieve their goals and objectives together in 2019.
Eleanor Winship works as a National Partner Manager on the channel team. In fall 2017, Eleanor started at digital security leader Gemalto with the opportunity to tackle a brand new role as the organization began building a Channel-first business in the Americas. Eleanor is passionate about Gemalto’s future in bringing trust to the digital world and the key role Channel will play in delivering on the vision for protecting data and identities. In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys kickboxing, traveling (Thailand being 2018’s highlight) and attending shows in the vast theater scene of NYC.
