Nefilim Ransomware hits Victoria Secrets and Taiwan Oil Refinery

New Nefilim Ransomware which hit Australia’s Logistics Company Toll Group is reported to have hit a state-run oil refinery in Taiwan disrupting digital payments across all gas stations located in the country.

The oil refinery in discussion happens to be CPC Corp and it issued an alert on Monday that all those who are using its gas station services should pay by cash until the digital transactions are brought back to the normalcy.

CPC also issued a press update saying that its systems were experiencing disruption due to a malware attack and so urged its customers to use cash or credit cards to avail of the fuel dispensation services.

Fang Jeng Zen, the President of CPC Corp said that the source of the file-encrypting malware intrusion has been found, but the motivation behind the attack is still under probe.

Meanwhile, in another incident related to Nefilim ransomware, the news is out that MAS Holdings, a Sri Lankan Commercial partner for Victoria’s Secret is reported to have become a victim of a Nefilim Malware attack.

And the Nefilim Ransomware operators are claiming that they will post the stolen 300GB of sensitive information on the dark web if their demands for ransom are not met.

In a statement issued early this morning, MAS confirmed that it has reviewed its security posture and has taken the best measures to prevent such incidents on its servers shortly.
