All these days there was n number of speculations in the media that technology giants like Apple Inc and Google are going to boycott Chinese online services and products like TikTok from their search engines and app stores due to security reasons and for launching a bio war on the world in the name of Corona Virus.
But now, Google has proved that the media reports are wrong by banning an Indian app which helped smartphone users to detect and delete apps of Chinese origin.
The Indian app in the discussion is “Remove China Apps” and Google says that the app violated its policies and so was removed from its app store which hit over 5 million downloads in just two weeks of its launch.
Strictly speaking, the app was developed by OneTouch App labs and was launched to bank on the anti-china sentiment which is currently prevailing in the Indian subcontinent.
As US President Donald Trump is encouraging the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi to tap into the Chinese market and grab all the business opportunities which are about to move out from Beijing for reasons, the residents of India have slowly started to ditch products and services which originated from China like TikTok, ShareIt, UC Browser, and CamScanner along with PUBG.
A similar campaign is also seen running in nations like Australia, Canada, and the UK and might soon be adopted by the populace of the United States- which is now struggling to contain the wrath of the public over the death of George Floyd.
Note- As per the Google Developer’s Policy, any app which obstructs the proper functioning of the operating system and other apps will be banned on a complete note. Also, all those apps which make changes to device settings without the knowledge of the user and consent will be eligible for a ban for policy violation.
