Black Friday Shopping witnessed record Web Traffic and Cyber Threats

A research conducted by Imperva in the past few years has disclosed that the Black Friday Shopping has/will witness humongous web traffic on ISPs and cyber threats on users. And as most of the buying will go digital because of corona virus pandemic in this year, security analysts say that most of the shopping season is said to witness many concerning attacks on online shoppers.

According to Imperva, the web traffic on retail sites surged by 28% from early this week, after many governments reimposed a lock-down 2 in their respective countries. So, as more individuals would be forced to carry out digital shopping, there is a high probability that cyber crooks will easily target them with malicious activities.

So, it is better if online shoppers keep their computing devices and networks safe with security software and better they use an effective malware removal tool as retail sites are turning into breeding hubs for malware.

Coming to retailers, Imperva research has revealed that the servers of many renowned companies have been hit by sophisticated attacks in the first week of November this year. And this includes DDoS, phishing attacks, account takeovers, or malware attacks like inducing credential stealing malware into the shopping portals.

Therefore, the California based Threat Management firm is asking companies to bolster their defense-line against the most sophisticated attacks, as it not only helps them in winning the trust of customers but also helps them shield against monetary losses that could lock them down from business on a permanent note
