Cyber secure your Smart Phone by doing so

While most of the smart phones of today’s generation are well incepted when it comes to security, some practices of users makes the device fall into the prying eyes of hackers. So, just by simply following the below steps, you can not only secure your smart phone from hacking campaigns, but also keep it free from adware or mining malware.

- Always use a 4 digit or a 6 digit password to lock the phone as it helps in keeping the data out of reach of unwanted minds. Face lock or fingerprint sensor activation makes sense in such cases.

- Using an antivirus solution on your smart device helps in keeping malware, adware and spyware at bay. It also alerts the user when any app or software is obstructing the normal operations on the phone.

- Never allow third party apps to install on your phone as it can make way to snooping and mining campaigns. So, install only from the Google Play Store or related app store.

- Keep your phone updated with the latest operating system as it helps in providing you with the latest fixes to known or unknown vulnerabilities that could be otherwise exploited by hackers.

- Keep an eye on the apps for permissions, terms and conditions and the access it has to your device. Sometimes, many apps prevailing on the app store can seek permission for the device access and then start snooping on your activities on the device and send that data to remote servers for analysis.

- It is wise to store your personal data on a cloud as it helps a lot when the device gets lost, stolen or broken.

- Better to do a clean up of your phone on an occasional note as it helps in removing obsolete apps that could attract malware infections.

- Changing the password on a periodic note on Google accounts helps to curb any privacy breaches.

- Restarting the phone once daily helps in preventing any lags in the app functionality and also helps you in receiving security related OTPs related to online accounts on time.
