Smart phones that get Android security updates at the earliest

Every month, a bunch of security flaws are found on Android phones, and Google mostly offers patches to such flaws at the earliest. So, to those who want to purchase or buy an Android loaded device based on the word that they get the security fixes at the earliest, here’s a list that gives a gist of such smart phones.

Google Pixel- As this is a flagship device of the Alphabet Inc’s subsidiary, it’s obvious that the company device gets the security updates at the earliest i.e. within one day of their official release.

Samsung Galaxy S20- This series of device offered by electronics giant Samsung gets the security fixes at the earliest i.e on par with Google Pixel phones of the very first day of release.

Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra- This flagship device that comes from the stable of Samsung gets security updates on the same day of release; sometimes a day late only witnessed sometimes.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE- Google offers its security updates to this edition of smart phones after 3 days of release.

Sony Xperia 1 II- When companies to the Pixel and Galaxy series of premium phones, the Xperia1 device released by Sony gets security updates within 17 days.

LG Velvet 5G- Velvet series of LG phones that arrived in United States in June 2020 will get security updates after 19 days.

One Plus 8 Pro- OnePlus has a special tie up with Google and as a part of Open Beta Program it gets updates slightly ahead of the official release from the web search giant. However, those who are on these devices via AT&T and Verizon have stated that they are receiving the updates on an average of 28 days.

LG V60 ThinQ receives security updates after 14 days and the same is followed by Motorola’s Flagship model Edge+.

Asus ROG and Zenfone 6 receive security updates after 24 days of Google’s official release.

OnePlus 8T- The said series of phones from OnePlus receive updates after 57 days when the Pixel and Galaxy series of phones get updated.

Sony Xperia 1- For those wishing to buy an unlocked Xperia 1 series of phone, you will be happy to hear that the said series receives security patches after 14 days of release.

OnePlus 7T Pro- For those wishing to buy a 7T Pro from Verizon series , you will be happy to hear that the said series receives security patches after 33 days after the pixel series of phones are loaded with the latest.

OnePlus 7 Pro- The said series receives updates after 29 days from the day they get released.

Asus ROG Phone 2- The said series of phone receives updates from almost 2 months or 44 days on an average.

Note- Pixel and Galaxy series phones are eligible for Operating System updates for at least next 3 years. While others will get a chance to upgrade to the Android 12 at the most.
