Apple Inc has acquired a Dublin based AI Startup which offers technology that enables 3rd parties to integrate high-quality voice and natural language capabilities into their digital products.
Dubbed as Voysis, this conversational Artificial Intelligence platform is said to help in the development of Apple’s Virtual Assistant SIRI on a further note.
Technically speaking Voysis will help web service users to narrow down their voice-based online shopping results even further. Like the user can specify in their voice that they need a LED TV which is smart and is in a budget of $1000. Meaning, it helps Synthesize Realistic Human Speech with the help of machine learning skills.
Started in the year 2012, Voysis was founded by Peter Cahill and was trumpeted as AI trained software that uses just 25 MB of memory on smartphones to become fully operational.
The financial details of Apple acquiring Voysis are yet to be disclosed on an official note. But it’s officially confirmed that the technology will be used to understanding people’s natural language in SIRI.
In the past 3 years, Apple Inc has acquired almost 7 companies out of which 4 are related to Artificial Intelligence. And the list is as follows- Laserlike, Silk Labs, XNOR. ai and now Voysis.
