Apple acquires Artificial Intelligence startup Xnor

Seattle based startup XNOR.ai which is basically into Artificial Intelligence is now reported to be a part of American Technology giant Apple Inc. Yes, the announcement comes early this week when Apple made it official that it is going to snap XNOR in a deal that will offer services related to AI at a much cheaper rate.

However, trade analysts suggest that the deal was made after the tech giant decided to integrate Xnor’s AI-enabled image recognition tools into its iPhones and smart devices in the coming future.

Technically speaking, Xnor is known to offer AI capabilities that can be integrated with the tech on smartphones, cars, drones, and wearable such as watches. It allows developers to run machine learning algorithms on the edge of devices instead of the cloud. Thus, as a result of which consumers of the internet of things can avail AI capabilities without the need for connectivity, and huge power demand tucked with great accuracy and performance which is a kind of resource calibration.

According to the LinkedIn profile, Xnor is a Seattle based startup which is a spin-off from the ideas of Paul Allen’s Artificial Intelligence Institute. Its tech is being used in companies related to aerospace, automobiles, retail, photography and consumer electronics.

Note- In an interview with CNBC in 2019, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that his company which acquired 2-3 companies every week on an average earlier has acquired 20 to 25 companies in the past six months—-OMG that’s a pretty good number of acquisitions isn’t it?
