FireEye acquires Cloud Security startup Cloudvisory

FireEye which offers AI-based cybersecurity intelligence has made it official that it has acquired Texas-based Cloud Security startup Cloudvisory. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. However, FireEye confirmed that its latest technology acquisition will help its customers integrate cloud workload security capabilities into its Helix Platform dedicated to the cloud and container security.

 

Lisun Kung, the CEO of Cloudvisory said that the deal will give his company a strong opportunity to combine its innovation with cloud visibility.

 

Technically speaking, Cloudvisory which was founded in 2013 has been providing compliance and security policy governance solutions to multi-cloud data centers that host their data and apps on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform along with Kubernetes and VMware.

 

“As customers will need consistent visibility across their public and hybrid cloud environments and container workloads, integration of Cloudvisory technology will help FireEye”, said Grady Summers the President of products and consumer security FireEye.

 

On the other hand, FireEye, Inc announced the availability of two new FireEye Mandiant Services known Cloud Security Assessments and Cyber Defense Operations. And these services are reported to help companies to achieve security transformations with easy detection and response capabilities of their cybersecurity operations.

 

Note- The objective of FireEye to acquire Cloudvisory is to cut down the complexity and burden of cybersecurity for companies that are struggling to mitigate risks associated with cyber attacks.
