New York-based Risk consulting firm Kroll Inc, said that it has acquired Singapore based forensic and digital security firm RP Digital Security. Thus, the founder Rob Phillips of the latter is said to join the payroll of the former by next month’s end.
Founded in 2004, RP Digital Security has been serving law firms, financial institutes, and insurance companies from regions such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. Since then the company has been offering expertise to companies suffering from a data breach, ransomware attacks, enterprise email security, and Insider threats.
Trade analysts expect that RP Digital’s technology will be integrated into Kroll’s extensive proactive cyber resilience services after acquisitions.
Note 1- In the year 2018, Duff & Phelps released a press statement that it is going to acquire Kroll Inc and by the year-end, the transaction was completed.
Note 2- Background screening, security consulting and Ontrack and electronic data recovery are the services offered by Kroll Inc. Its latest Identity Theft Shield is said to be used by 500,000 customers across the world.
Note 2- RP Digital Security is well known for its service of data recovery, data reconstruction, internet history retrieval, and vulnerability assessments.
