France based Atos that is into the offering of multinational information technology services has made it official that it is going to acquire Canada based ‘In Fidem’ for an undisclosed amount. But trade analysts say that the purchase was drawn with a fancy price which the latter could not resist.
It seems like Atos is planning to place itself in the number 3 position in America by acquiring the specialists consultants from ‘In Fidem’.
In business point of view, ‘In Fidem’ is known to offer information security management by offering services related to business application security, IT systems security, network security and cloud based security solutions for companies that go with a Cybersecurity vision and strategies to protect their IT infrastructure from various cyber threats.
Atos that purchased entire Siemens IT Solutions and Services was looking to strengthen its base in the field of security by integrating the technology of In Fidem into its products and services related to the security field.
Meanwhile, the latest survey conducted by Atos says that Cybersecurity breaches could result in the steal of more than 146 billion records by 2023. The prediction was done based on the adoption and development of cloud and quantum computing techniques that could speed up digital transformation to such an extent that it could expand the attack surfaces to sophisticated attacks in the threat landscape. So, analysts predict that the year 2023 alone will witness the steal of over 33 billion records.
